Our Goal:  To increase the number of children, families, older adults, veterans and military family members served by 75%.

For more than 30 years the Samaritan Center for Counseling and Pastoral Care has provided affordable, professional counseling and educational services within a spiritual context to Central Texans.  During this time, the population of Travis County has nearly tripled.  As the population in our community continues to increase, so does the need for affordable counseling services for children and families.  In addition, our HOPE for HEROES program that provides counseling at no charge for military families needs room to expand to serve more soldiers and their families.

Nearly 40 percent of our current clientele have no health insurance and receive fee assistance.  We need more space to serve this increasing population.  There are very few counseling resources in our community for individuals and families with limited income, very little mental health resources available for older adults, few organizations that focus on the unique needs of military families, and even fewer that integrate spiritual resources with professional counseling.  We provide a unique service to our community.  Eliminating a lease payment will free up monies to provide more direct mental health services to a greater number of Central Texans.

Our new location at the intersection of Hwy. 183 & Burnet Rd. will provide greater access for clients as it is near a bus-stop, major highways and commuter rail.
